Cleaning Out Your Closet

Cleaning out your closet is an annual clothes donation service event hosted by Beta Phi Pi.  The importance of donating clothes is underestimated by many.  However, this organization realizes that the following benefits it provides are:

  • Helping the environment,
  • Fundraising for national foundations,
  • Helps disaster victims,
  • Helps those who can't purchase clothing through lack of income.

During this event, Beta Phi Pi stressed the importance of giving back to their communities.  At the same time, helping them realize clothes donation helps just as much as traditional methods (such as monetary).


Bowling for B.O.O.B.S.

Bowling for Boobs is a social service event hosted by the men of Beta Phi Pi to help create awareness and raise money toward the fight of breast cancer.  Over 200,000 new cases of breast cancer was expected to be diagnosed in women in 2013.  Over a lifetime, it is estimated that about 12% of women will be diagnosed throughout their lifetime.  Money raised by this event is used in this event is used in collaboration with various cancer societies to provide services to cancer patients such as:

  • Transportation
  • Cancer Education Classes
  • Funding Research
  • Free Wigs
  • Treatment of physical side effects, etc.

The men of Beta Phi Pi understand the importance of regular cancer screenings and treatments added with a healthy lifestyle.


Safe Haven

A Safe Haven is a 501(c)3 not for profit, social enterprise that helps people aspire, transform and sustain their lives as they transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency with pride and purpose.  A Safe Haven provides the tools for each individual to overcome the root causes of homelessness through a holistic, scalable mode.  A Safe Haven’s visible social and economic impact unites families, stabilizes neighborhoods, and creates vibrant, viable communities.
