Purpose of a Strategic Plan

Strategic Planning is the process of establishing:

1) Long-range goals that are critical to the survival and prosperity of a Beta Phi Pi Fraternity Inc, and

2) Action plans to achieve the agreed-upon long-range goals. In general, strategic

planning is needed because: changes in environment can potentially threaten continued

health and prosperity of the organization. Significant opportunities need to be seized for

future prosperity. Organizational performance needs to be significantly improved or

re-directed to ensure the continued health and prosperity of the organization. Day to

day management can often be overly focused on short-term perspective and

performance.

Organization leaders want to create member commitment and direct action

to achieve desired visions and goals deemed critical for the organization.
