Honarable Ralph S. Laplanche
Beta Phi Pi Fraternity was founded on April 6, 1986 on the campus of Western Illinois University, by Christopher Woulard, Erik Martin, and Ralph Laplanche. One of their primary focuses was to establish a Fraternity that does not tear down another man to fit the image of the Fraternity. They accepted all men as they were, and sought out to build upon their strengths to develop the leader within.
Since the inception of Beta Phi Pi Fraternity, the organization has embraced the values of brotherhood, self-improvement, pride, equal rights, and service to the surrounding communities with youths as our primary target. Beta Phi Pi Fraternity Incorporated seeks to uplift individuals while promoting positive images, and build strong successful leaders who will make a difference in their communities. The men of Beta Phi Pi are committed to provide service to the community and spread brotherhood, love, and unity among all people.
The majority of our members are young, and a maturation process is necessary to create these organizational ideals. We have created numerous programs in our process, as well as continuing Beta education seminars and workshops to foster this maturation. We truly work hard at developing our members, for they are the walking and talking voices and images that people recognize as Beta Phi Pi. So it is imperative that we create excellent leaders and motivators. Beta men must be able to set goals, long term and short and deliver on them.
The vision of Beta Phi Pi Fraternity Incorporated is to build an organization that would provide service to the community and spread brotherhood, love, and unity among all people. Headquartered in Chicago Illinois, Beta Phi Pi Fraternity Incorporated works to service the community in the capacity of mentoring, awareness, and self-empowerment.
